Vince Bartels has been a prominent member of the West Coast Jazz scene since 1977 when he joined the Fulton Street Jazz band. Vince has been exposed since birth to classic swing jazz by his father, Hank Bartels, a renowned bass player, New Orleans native and founding member of the original “Dukes of Dixieland” with clarinetist Pete Fountain.
