Grade School Performances
During the week of the Festival, children attending local grade and middle schools are treated to a performance from distinguished bands. An average of 15,000 students experience this American traditional musical style.
Youth Performances
Local middle and high school bands have traditionally been invited to strut their stuff during the festival. The economy has taken its toll within the schools and with venue availability, but in 2011 we were able to allocate time Saturday morning in the dance venue. Please check the festival schedule.
The Next Step (Regular Festival Participation)
Young performers who have made the commitment to get to the next level are personified by the Evolution group from the Oregon Coast Lab Band program and by the previously active South Medford Suitz.
