Jazz guitar show
The Campbell Museum Foundation and the San Jose Guitar School of Music are co-hosting a jazz guitar show on Sunday, August 29. Chris Shahin will perform jazz, Latin and American music on a nylon string guitar accompanied by bass and drums. Mason Razavi will perform jazz and bop on electric guitar with organist Brian Ho and drummer Jason Lewis.
The concert takes place at 2 p.m. in the garden of Ainsley House, 300 Grant St. Tickets are $ 25 at http://www.campbellmuseums.com/shop and includes two glasses of wine and appetizers.
Dinner with canine companions
The Campbell Chamber of Commerce is hosting its monthly luncheon on September 15th with a guest speaker from Canine Companions.
Canine Companions provides assistance dogs for adults, children and veterans with disabilities, and assistance dogs for professionals working in the health, criminal justice and education fields.
Lunch begins at 11:30 am at Villa Ragusa, 35 S. Second St. Tickets are $ 40 on the day of the event.
In concert with hope
Hope Services’ annual fundraiser, In Concert with Hope, features a few acts: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and former Doobie Brother Michael McDonald to share the virtual stage with Grammy-nominated jazz saxophonist Mindi Abair, for a live broadcast on October 2. concert for the benefit of the non-profit association based in San José.
Hope Services provides services to residents of South Bay with varying abilities. It is supported in part by HopeTHRIFT San Jose, a thrift store located at 2306 Almaden Road.
