DANCE TEAM: Five dancers honored by the MRC | Sports

The Belle Plaine Dance Team had a phenomenal year with four dancers earning Minnesota River Conference honors and honorable mention.

Senior Lauren Miller competed in kick and jazz. She has been on the dance team for six years and was captain this season. She is an excellent leader and a motivating team player.

Senior Emily Maciej competed in kick and jazz. She has been on the dance team for six years and was captain this year. She is an inspiring and supportive teammate.

Senior Kaylee Shackle competed in kick and jazz. She has been a member of the dance team for six years and has been captain for the past two years. She is incredibly passionate and leads her teammates by being a great example of hard work and determination.

Senior Alaina Herrmann competed in kick and jazz. She has been a member of the dance team for six years. She is an extremely hard worker and is always motivated to surpass herself and her teammates.

Junior Mady Vossen competed in kick and jazz and earned an honorable mention from the MRC All-Conference.

Joining Miller, Maciej, Shackle and Herrmann on the All-Conference Team are:

Neysa Anderson, Tri-City United, rookie, kick team; Hailey Buckentin, Lutheran Mayer/Norwood-Young America/Watertown-Mayer, senior, kick team; Mikayla Marek, Tri-City United/Le Sueur-Henderson, junior, jazz team; and Lexi Pogreba, Mayer Lutheran/Norwood-Young America/Watertown-Mayer, senior, jazz crew.

Joining Vossen on the honorable mentions list were Peyton Tietz, Mayer Lutheran/Norwood-Young America/Watertown-Mayer, senior, jazz; and Olivia Westerman, Tri-City United/Le Sueur-Henderson, eighth year, kick.
