Wed 15 and Thursday 16, 8 p.m .: Cairo Steps the group performs the music of Bassem darwich, accompanied by Cairo Opera Orchestra, led by maestro Nayeir Nagui. The concert will feature the singer Dina El Wedidi, munshid (religious singer) Sheikh Ehab Younis, and German harpist Evelyn Huber.

Thursday 9, 7 p.m .: Once upon a time I walked into a garden dance show is presented as part of the Breaking the Walls Festival through NUT dance company, the show is organized in collaboration with the Swiss Embassy and the International Organization for Migration, co-produced by the Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo, to support women against gender-based violence and to empower migrant women the opportunity to express their feelings and share their stories. The performance, created by Hazem Header, addresses the issues of Egyptian women’s society and the harassment, obstacles and challenges Egyptian women and girls face in Egyptian society and streets in their daily lives.
