On Wednesday December 1, 2021, Terrence Lee Snedeker, beloved husband and father of three, passed away at the age of 69.

Terrence was born on April 28, 1952 in Troy, Pennsylvania, to John and Mary Jane (née White) Snedeker. He graduated in 1970 from Charles O. Dickerson High School in Trumansburg, NY. He received his associate degree in 1972 from Alfred University, Alfred, NY, where he was introduced to computer programming and business.

On June 10, 1972, he married Stéphanie Lou Chaffee, his love since his first crush in the third year. They raised a daughter, Sarah Katherine (Snedeker) Sears, and two sons, Benjamin David Snedeker and Jordan Michael Snedeker.

In 1984, Terrence borrowed $ 5,000 from his father to start Compusist, a remittance processing software company for banks, utilities, and businesses. He moved the company to Dryden, New York, in 1986. It quickly grew to over 100 employees and reached customers on three continents.

In 1993, and again in 1994, Compusist was recognized by Incorporated Magazine as one of the 500 Fastest Growing Companies in the United States. He served as CEO for over 10 years.

Terrence was known for his love and sacrifices for the people around him. He was dedicated to following Jesus and found his spiritual home at CLC Church in Freeville, NY

He was quick-witted and he loved to laugh. He was a huge fan of jazz music, the Red Sox, and Syracuse basketball. He loved to travel, especially in a motorhome.

Bird watching was one of his favorite pastimes, and over 30 years his feeder has become a mainstay for many varieties. His favorites were the Glitter, the Bald Eagle and the Pileated Woodpecker. He had nicknames for each of them.

Terrence was predeceased by his father, John, and his mother, Mary Jane; sister Marylouise; and stepfather, Wilfred L. Chaffee.

He is survived by his wife, Stéphanie; three children, Ben (Sarah B.), Sarah (John) and Jordan (Rachel); grandchildren, Julia, Eden, Owen, Emory, Lincoln, Ellianna, Wilfred, Joséphine, Elise and Ethan; sisters Cheryl Borden (Joseph) and Patricia Midgley (Jorg); brother, Robert (Cheryl H.); stepmother, Irene B. Chaffee; brother-in-law, Craig Chaffee (Kathy); and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
