Time Out Market’s July schedule includes jazz-filled nights and beach brunch

Time Out Market is a staple of the Montreal foodie scene, showcasing the culinary works of countless acclaimed chefs, including Justin Trudeau’s personal chef, Chanthy Yen.

Why you should go: This event features local circus performers showing off their skills while you sip a special drink. No activity is necessary on your end, just stop by to watch the show and experience the myriad dining options available at Time Out. With mocktail options and entertainment for all ages, this circus is as boozy or as family-friendly as you want it to be.

When: Sunday, July 10, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Why you should go: A little party for the Montreal International Jazz Festival, it’s sure to be a memorable Sunday. Time Out hosts a live local jazz band offering unique limited-time meals from each restaurant that are only available on weekends. And of course, brunch cocktails will be offered to you all afternoon.

Why you should go: it’s Drag Brunch! Do we need to say anything else? The Barbadian entertainer from Barbados will perform alongside some of her favorite local queens in a family show. It may be free, but it’s first come, first served, so get there early if you want to get a good seat. Plus, feel free to dress up in your perfect pastel spring outfit and compete for prizes, including a $50 gift card to the Time Out Market.

Why you should go: This recurring event series centers around free retro games and drinks based on local distillery fare. Has there ever been a more winning combo? Play table hockey, Pac-Man and more for free on the machines at the laid-back Plateau North Star Pinball spot, or turn it into a night out and dance to the live DJ sets that run every weekend. With a rotating selection of local beers and cocktails inspired by Montreal mixologists, it’s bound to be a popular spot this summer.
