Utah Jazz partners with fan engagement technology platform Digital Seat Media

On Wednesday, April 13, Digital seat media announced a partnership with the Utah Jazz, marking the company’s second U.S. professional basketball partnership besides the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Digital Seat Media is a real-time fan engagement technology platform connecting fans with brands, sports teams and artists. By scanning a uniquely coded QR code, fans can access the Digital Seat portal, from any environment, regardless of phone operator and brand, and without the need to download an application or have access to wifi. Digital Seat’s metal tags are installed on seats, armrests and bleachers throughout the venue, allowing fans to engage in real time with the event in progress.

Digital Seat Media has installed more than 18,300 beacons in Vivint Arena, home of the Utah Jazz, allowing every fan inside the venue to use its hardware and software fan engagement platform compatible with the QR code to support Utah Jazz and their recently announced partnership with CoinZoom, a US-based cryptocurrency exchange and leading fintech company.

Fans will now have the ability to scan a QR code from their seat to order food and drinks, shop in the Jazz Team Store, access arena maps as well as download the CoinZoom app to access the latest Jazz drops. NFTs; all without having to download an application, regardless of their brand of mobile phone.

Digital Seat Media has installed over 1,000,000 digital seat tags at over 40 locations to date, including tags at Baylor University, University of Washington, Virginia Tech, Rose Bowl Stadium and at the Paycom Center: home of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Fans will now have their first chance to interact with digital seat tags next week as Utah takes on the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The Jazz host Dallas in Game 3 on Thursday, April 21 at 7 p.m. MT. The fourth match will then take place on Saturday, April 23 at 2:30 p.m. MT.
